Return to Color

This series of photographs of Emilia Forest represents fragments of my restoration. The frames hold captured moments of a breath caught, a memory preserved, and the quiet pulse of life insisting on being seen.
For a time, I felt as if I was moving through shadows, uncertain if I would find color again. The act of creating these images became a mantra, a steady reminder that beauty still exists even in the midst of deep tragedy. The light falling across a surface, the stillness between movements, the reflections in the everyday, all guided me back to a place of peace and acceptance. Through the lens, I began to see myself mirrored back. Not broken or absent, but whole and alive.
This work is not about perfection. It is about survival, transformation, and quiet courage to keep going. The return to color. No matter how slow the process may be. This collection is my proof that life once fragmented can be reassembled.
