This is Susan's story. Susan has discovered she had ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) when she moved to the United States from Vietnam. To learn and process her disorder, she imagined herself as an octopus. Her story inspired the artist to use the visual imagery of octopus tentacles to convey the idea of scattered thoughts or distractibility associated with ADHD. The complexity and adaptability of octopuses metaphorically connected to the multifaceted challenges individuals with ADHD face in managing their attention and impulses.
